Constructed entirely from Terra Cotta clay, the box is hand painted and etched by Navajo artisan Carol Torres. Navajo designs signify Mother Earth and Father Sky while the bright colors in clay, blue, white, black, turquoise, green and rust represent the colors of life. Carol Torres is a Navajo artisan who makes the pieces in her own home. After giving birth to her first child, she has returned to make this amazing piece.
