This attention grabbing ring features a sterling silver band and a large faceted square amethyst. The delicate band is encircled with tiny diamond-shaped engravings. This motif is taken from an artifact from the Royal Tombs of Ur (Mesopotamia) which dates back to 2500 BCE. The artifact, known as the Standard of Ur, depicts life in a series of mosaics using inlaid lapis lazuli and shell. Handcrafted in a small studio where Bedouins work side by side with Jews in the North of Israel, each piece varies slightly, making it a truly original piece of art. A story card accompanies each piece.
