The Illuminated Crowd  The Illuminated Crowd
\"A crowd has gathered, facing a light, an illumination brought about by a fire, an event, an ideology - or an ideal. The strong light casts shadows, and as the light moves toward the back and diminishes, the mood degenerates, rowdiness, disorder and violence occur, showing the fragile nature of man. Illumination, hope, involvement, hilarity, irritation, fear, illness, violence, murder and death - the flow of man's emotion through space.\" Sculpture and words by Raymond Mason The sculpture stands in front of the Banque Nationale de Paris Tower, McGill College Avenue, Montreal The photos were taken on August 2004.

Old Acre, Israel  Old Acre, Israel
The ancient walled city of Acco, also called Acre, is rich in history. Acco is located in the northwestern part of the country, on the eastern shore of the Meditereanan Sea. In Acre there are fingerprints of many people and religious movements: the Canaanites, the Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Crusaders, the Mamelukes, the Turks and the British. The walls of the city, its fortresses and citadels, its churches and mosques, tell the history of the many rulers who governed it and fought for it, who built the city and glorified it.
