The picture above is my village in Derbyshire. We travel a great deal within UK because we have dogs and like to take them camping to places like the Gower, Pembroke, Scotland, Cornwall etc.. Abroad we have visited Sarawak, Malasia, Hong Kong, Singapore and many Eurpoean destinations. I was brought up in Hong Kong, Calcutta and Brunei because my father was an officer in the Gurkahs. My husband is very fond of France and we will be camping in Brittany next year with dog. We are interested in home exchanging for holidays but have not yet done it.

Interests:
Wildlife, coastal, mountains, tropical.

Dislikes:
Party islands and resorts. Political unrest. Religious zeal.

Travel Gear:
Insect repellent, camera, 20 factor cream, money belt with ATM cash card, phrase books.

Favorite trip so far:
Either Naples to Alonnisos (See journal) or 2,500 miles round Scotland.

Dream trip:
I really want to visit South America, particularly Peru and Central America, perticularly, Costa Rica. I'm also interested in seeing Norway and Iceland.

Best nightlife:
Warm friendly ouseries in Greece, with good food, ouso and chat.

Romantic spot:
Loch Ken, Dumfrieshire, Scotland. Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Notable food:
Welsh rib eye steak barbequed with pepper and garlic enjoyed on a late-spring evening in Pembrokeshire. Tiger prawns and satay chicken in Singapore.

Cool daytrips around High Peak, Derbyshire UK:
Two and a half hour pony trek in Pennines from Edale. All levels of ability costing just £20.00 Ladybooth Trekking Centre Tel:01433 670205 Go Carting in Harpur Hey, Buxton. Walking the innumerable mountain walks from my front door. Trip to Manchester's Lowry Centre 20 miles from our home.
