Unique cultural differences between Germany and the United States, as observed by a 20-something American girl living, working and studying there. (This was written after only a few months there...I developed a more accurate understanding of the culture later! My year there, overall, was a WONDERFUL experience, that I wouldn't trade for anything. Germany, it's people, traditions, language and beauty mean the world to me.
Berlin
Took these photos while spending a few days in Berlin. One thing that struck me was how similar many of the buildings built in East Berlin during communism is to Western European architecture from that same era. (mathmath)
Dresden / Pilnitz
Taking a walk through the historical center of Dresden and then driving through the beautiful Saechische Weinstrasse, I arrived in Pilnitz. (imreh_zoltan)

I took these photos on vacation with my wife Jan 2004. Being from the U.S.A., and after Germany not supporting the US led coalition in Iraq, Germans are the most friendliest people I've ever met (robmoors)

Shipping Scene on the Rhein
While driving along the Rhein one spectacular fall day I came across this member of the KD Rhein Line fleet. A ship styled after Star Trek's USS Enterprise! While I know of this ships existance. Unlike KD's suual cruise and excursion ships, this one is strictly for charter only. As such it was the one elusive memmbre of the fleet (for those trying to make pictures of all the companies ships) I took this sequence with ASA 100 print film and also with Kodachrome. (Michpix)
