Minsk is the capital city of Belarus, a former soviet republic sliced between Poland and Russia. It is a spacious and extraodinary in its way Eastern-European city. Almost fully destoyed in the WWII, it was rebuilt from scratch in the 50-ies in “Stalin architecture” style. Many visitors say it looks and feels like a communism preserve, but the city definitely has its charms, once you get to know it.
